The Hammond Way of LifeGreat food has certainly been a large part of Mariners success. Tender steaks and juicy burgers, fluffy stuffed potatoes, super thick pork chops, delicious grilled tuna, as well as signature dressings, appetizers, and soups are our useful tools in our daily battle to cure hunger in Hammond!
We also feature a well stocked bar with fine beers, liquors, mixed drinks, and patrons. Whether they are the famous and powerful of the world (you’d be amazed, but they are incognito, of course), or the every day citizens of Hammond, you will always find participants for an engaging conversation.
While you are here be sure to view our ever changing collection of nautical memorabilia, period firearms (including a 17th century Spanish cannon), interesting, often local, artwork and old maps.
Live Music and Events
South Louisiana is world famous for its fine musical traditions, including Jazz, Country, Zydeco, Cajun, Mo-Town, Delta Blues, and Classic Southern Rock-n-Roll. At Mariners over the years all this plus everything from cutting edge head banging Punk to Big Band Jazz has been played to the appreciation of our audiences.
In this tradition every Friday evening, weather permitting, we offer a free concert by local music legend Eddie Veatch and his friends. Over a career spanning four decades Eddie has played his sax and flute around the world with many famous musicians. You never know who will be sitting in with him while you enjoy great food and world class Jazz.
Keep an eye out for other great acts on our window posters, website, Facebook, and other promotional venues. Remember, at Mariners Inn variety is the spice of life, you never know what you may hear here.
